Qure.ai is providing its artificial intelligence (AI) software to Italian San Raffaele University Hospital in Milan to monitor disease progression in COVID-19 patients.
Qure.ai's automated chest x-ray qXR software is designed to interpret a COVID-19 patient's lung images and quantify how much of the lungs are affected by the disease.
More specifically, the software targets abnormalities such as ground-glass opacities that are indicative of COVID-19. It can also be used to detect tuberculosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, lung malignancies, and medical emergencies such as a collapsed lung and cardiac disorders.
