ScreenPoint partners with Incepto on AI

Dutch women's imaging software developer ScreenPoint Medical has signed a distribution deal with Paris-based Incepto Medical for ScreenPoint's artificial intelligence (AI) offerings.

The agreement with Incepto covers ScreenPoint's entire suite of Transpara AI tools designed to enhance radiologists' ability to interpret mammograms and improve breast cancer detection.

In the portfolio is ScreenPoint's Transpara deep learning-based computer-aided detection (CAD) software for screening and diagnostic mammography, as well as support for triaging of exams or as an independent image reader by automatically identifying soft tissue and calcification lesions in 2D and 3D mammograms.

Transpara has received European CE Mark regulatory approval for use with digital mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis, and it is compatible with images from leading mammography systems. It also is cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for digital mammography.
