Image enhancement software developer ContextVision is collaborating with the Center for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV) at Linköping University in Sweden to develop a database for medical and pathology images that will offer training for new products based on artificial intelligence (AI).
The database will help developers create AI-based systems supporting cancer-related medical imaging. ContextVision and PACS vendor Sectra, which is also joining the effort, will work to commercialize it, ContextVision said.
The project is funded by Visual Sweden, which supports innovation in the fields of visualization and image analysis, according to the firm.
