Dear Ultrasound Insider,
We’ve posted two strong articles today about novel ultrasound research findings presented recently at ECR 2025 in Vienna.
The first is about contrast-enhanced scrotal imaging. Researchers from King’s College London who collected a certificate of merit award at the congress have shared four clinical cases and images with us, along with practical tips and other information.
The second ECR 2025 story is about the causes of delays within the ultrasound procedure room at a leading hospital in Dublin. This study highlights the need for basic guidelines on procedural management to reduce the potential inefficiencies caused by unregulated room structuring.
In other news, scientists from Lausanne University Hospital in Switzerland have reported that microultrasound may be a viable alternative to MRI for predicting pathological tumor volume in prostate cancer lesions.
Also this month, we’ve posted an article about fluoroscopy-assisted ultrasound guidance for mini-percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedures in children being a safer and more effective approach than fluoroscopy alone. Check out our special report.
Finally, if you missed it just before ECR 2025, make sure you watch our video interview with Prof. Paul Sidhu, editor in chief of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology. He reveals which ultrasound technologies are exciting him most at present.
These articles are just a small selection of the material we’ve posted during recent weeks in the ultrasound content area. Please check out the full listing here.
