ABT Molecular Imaging has placed its Biomarker Generator at Sveta Marina University Hospital in Bulgaria.
The generator, which will provide in-house, single-dose FDG production for the hospital, features a compact accelerator and microchemistry technology with integrated quality control, according to the vendor. Prior to the installation, the facility imported FDG from a neighboring country, which limited scheduling availability for patients and increased the cost to perform the PET/CT study, ABT said.
