Axial3D has opened a 3D printing "center of excellence" in Belfast, U.K., for hospitals and medical device manufacturers and research firms.
The company offers a cloud-based segmentation service that turns 2D medical images into 3D models. The new facility will be equipped with 3D printing technology from Stratasys and will support presurgical planning, simulation, device testing, and patient-specific device design.
The company launched the site on 30 January.
