The European Society of Radiology (ESR) has provided some preliminary details about the opening ceremony for ECR 2022, which will take place in Vienna at 5.45 pm on Wednesday 13 July. The opening will be called ‘Shine’, and it will present a vision for the future of medical imaging.
ECR President Regina Beets-Tan will describe her vision for the future of medical imaging, a future in which radiologists embrace multidisciplinarity in medicine and build bridges with all partners in the healthcare continuum, according to organizers.
In addition, they said every expectation will be met with a unique and beautiful surprise as the ESR honors the accomplishments of its Honorary Members and Gold Medalists, as well as enjoy "an awe-inspiring mix of musical performances and visual spectacles," the ESR noted.
Honorary members include Prof. Xiao-Yuan Feng of Fudan University in Shanghai; Dr. Mary Mahoney of the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, U.S.; and Prof. Manoel de Souza Rocha of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
