The U.K. Society of Radiographers (SoR) has called the move to scrap all remaining COVID-19 legal restrictions in England "too soon" in a response commentary issued on 24 February.

Rhys Martin, health and safety policy officer at the society, wrote that it is also dangerous to remove the responsibility of employers to mitigate COVID-19 risk in the workplace and that workplaces still see challenges around infections, particularly when it comes to clinically vulnerable employees and not fully vaccinated employees.

The SoR also wrote that it will continue to demand that employers assess the risk for COVID-19 in the workplace. The society will also continue to campaign for the availability of free lateral flow tests for member workplaces.
