GE Healthcare and Circle Health Group have entered a 10-year partnership deal covering the provision of medical equipment, installation, services, consultancy, and financing for Circle's national network of more than 50 hospitals in the U.K.

Circle Health Group is the largest independent healthcare provider in the U.K.

Under the agreement, hundreds of different GE products are expected to be used in Circle's hospitals over the course of the 10-year period. In addition, GE Healthcare Financial Services will provide approximately $70 million U.S. (62 million euros) in financing to enable the acquisition of new medical equipment.

The agreement also includes an exclusive servicing contract to maintain all of Circle's medical imaging equipment, including technology that has not been provided by GE.

In 2020, Circle acquired BMI Healthcare, and integrating the IT systems is an ongoing process, the companies said. GE will provide digital consultancy on this, as well as on the integration of electronic patient records.

In addition to operating its network of hospitals, Circle runs integrated care programs and rehabilitation services, and it has an overseas division that operates two purpose-built clinics in Shanghai, China.
