Philips to highlight ultrasound, informatics at ESC congress

Royal Philips, the parent company of Philips Healthcare, plans to highlight ultrasound and enterprise informatics upgrades at the 2019 European Society of Cardiology (ESC) congress in Paris.

The company will debut an upgraded version of its Epiq CVx cardiology ultrasound software. Epiq CVx 5.0 now includes AutoStrain LV, which uses Philips' Automatic View Recognition technology to identify different views of the heart, as well as AutoStrain LA and AutoStrain RV, which automate the measurement of left atrial and right ventricular longitudinal strain.

Philips will also highlight its IntelliSpace Cardiovascular informatics platform, which now incorporates LindaCare's OnePulse, which allows for remote monitoring of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices, the company said. It will also introduce a new module for IntelliSpace Cardiovascular that automates and standardizes reporting for patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices during hospital visits, according to the firm.
