European supermarket chain Aldi is selling Balco 3D printers as an online exclusive in the U.K. for less than 250 pounds (275 euros).
The Balco 3D printer is an entry-level printer that comes with features such as touchscreen controls, a maximum printing bed temperature of 110° C, a maximum nozzle temperature of 260° C, and a bed-leveling assistant.
The low cost of these 3D printers addresses one of the primary concerns of integrating expensive 3D printing technology into medicine and may help pave the way for more widespread use of the technology.
