The Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) has signed a strategic partnership with the University of Sydney.
The deal includes collaborating on next-generation PET molecular imaging for preclinical and human research through the National Cyclotron Research Facility and PET imaging facilities in the university's Brain and Mind Centre. The entities also plan to develop an imaging system to investigate the causes and potential treatments of mental illness and diabetes.
Other initiatives will cover drug development, materials science, engineering, and nuclear physics.
