The U.K.'s Gateshead Health National Health Service (NHS) Foundation Trust, also known as QE Gateshead, has chosen healthcare data management company BridgeHead Software to implement its vendor-neutral archive (VNA) for a large multistage image management project.
QE Gateshead is building an electronic patient record (EPR) to serve the entire trust, and is devising a strategy to facilitate the EPR with its VNA, replacing the current PACS network, Gateshead said.
Throughout the implementation process, a key priority is ensuring that BridgeHead's VNA can work with any storage device existing, or future PACS the facility might choose, always remaining the target archive, and thereby keeping all of the images in one place, according to Gateshead.
