GE Healthcare is expanding its Unisyn multibrand probe repair business to include Europe.
Unisyn is an ultrasound probe repair business for biomedical and clinical engineers. Earlier this year, the availability of Unisyn's products and services was limited to the U.S. and Canada.
The repair service spans multiple vendor platforms, and tests and diagnoses ultrasound probe failures with the company's proprietary FirstCall probe-testing device, which diagnoses, repairs, and thoroughly tests each probe before shipment back to the customer.
FirstCall also tests the acoustic and electrical properties of ultrasound probes.
