Humetrix demonstrates mobile software

The U.K. National Health Service (NHS) has invited mobile health application software developer Humetrix to demonstrate its iBlueButton mobile health information exchange application at the NHS Innovation Expo 2013 being held this week in London.

The iBlueButton app will enable U.K. residents to use smartphones to access and share their personal health records (PHR) with healthcare providers at the point of care.

The demonstration will feature the use of iBlueButton mobile apps to securely view, download, and share personal health information from Cerner's inpatient electronic medical record software and SystmOne's clinical software.

The U.K. version of the iBlueButton platform is expected to be available for consumer use by the fall of 2013, according to the company based in San Diego, California, U.S.
