Five radiologists from Germany, Greece, Spain, and the U.K. have joined AuntMinnieEurope.com's Editorial Advisory Board. The new advisers, who have a wide cross-section of special interests and expertise, will help to oversee and assist in the direction of AuntMinnieEurope.com's editorial strategy. They join 17 existing board members. Below is a biographical sketch for each of the new advisers.

Dr. Peter Bannas, resident, department of radiology, University Hospital, Hamburg, Germany Dr. Peter Bannas has worked as a resident in the department of radiology at Hamburg University Hospital since 2007. He is co-editor of hellste-koepfe.de, the home page of the DRG (Deutsche Röntgengesellschaft e.V.) for students and residents. He is also the national delegate of radiology trainees for the DRG. His main research interest is molecular imaging approaches to compare conventional monoclonal antibodies with so-called nanobodies for optimization of noninvasive detection of specific cell surface molecules on T cells and lymphomas. |

Dr. Elias Brountzos, associate professor of radiology, Athens University Dr. Elias Brountzos is associate professor of radiology in the second department of radiology at Athens University, and is also head of interventional radiology at Attikon University Hospital in Athens. His areas of special interest include cellular mechanisms of restenosis after PTA and stenting in the peripheral arteries, biosynthetic prosthetic venous valve for venous insufficiency, liver resection and portal vein embolization for residual liver volume augmentation, peripheral stents, and interventional treatment of abdominal and thoracic aneurysms. His additional interests are chemoembolization and radioembolization for the treatment of tumors. |

Dr.Matthias Dietzel, assistant professor of radiology, Friedrich-Schiller-University, Jena, Germany Dr. Matthias Dietzel's special interests are MRI, oncologic imaging, medical imagining as a prognostic biomarker, and machine learning in radiology. Between 2000 and 2006, he took his medical training at the Friedrich-Schiller-University, University of Zürich, and University of Toronto. Since 2007, he has been a senior scientist in the research team of Dr. Werner Kaiser at Friedrich-Schiller-University. Soon he will take up a fellowship in neuroradiology at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg, under the direction of Dr. A. Dörfler. |

Dr. Cristina Fernández Rey, PhD, consultant radiologist, Complejo Hospitalario de Segovia, Segovia, Spain Dr. Cristina Fernández Rey, PhD, has been in her current post since February 2012. Previously, she was consultant radiologist at Hospital el Bierzo, León, Spain. She took her medical residency and training in radiology at the Hospital Universitario de Oviedo from 2006 to 2009. Her main interest is neuroradiology, and she was involved in collaboration with the Facultad de Veterinaria at the Universidad de León in research projects that included studies with MRI in animals. |

Dr. Annie Paterson, consultant pediatric radiologist, Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, Belfast, U.K. Dr. Annie Paterson has held her current post since 1999. She completed her medical training at St Bartholomew's Hospital, University of London, and took a fellowship in pediatric radiology at Duke University Medical Center, North Carolina, U.S. She is pediatric section editor of EuroRad and is an editorial board member of Pediatric Radiology. She is a member of the Scientific Programme Committee of the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), and was twice awarded the Constance Thornton Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology by the RCR. She is trust specialty co-ordinator for radiology, and sits on the Trust Education Board and the Board of the Northern Ireland School of Radiology. |
