Kodak starts Tuscan PACS contract

Eastman Kodak Health Group will install its Kodak CareStream PACS technology in the 14 hospitals of the southeast Tuscany region of Italy.

Three years ago, authorities in Tuscany embarked on the Tuscany South East RIS/PACS Project to implement a system to share patient information, clinical data, medical reports, and images from hospitals in the area. Work began on implementing a RIS and PACS architecture this past June. The facilities collectively handle more than 1 million radiological examinations annually.
