The Eastern European PACS market was worth $9.7 million (U.S.) in 2005, and is expected to grow to $29.3 million by 2012, according to market research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.
Although Eastern Europe currently lacks technology and infrastructure, and has language issues that are creating difficulties with system interfaces, the market is growing at an impressive double-digit rate due to large-scale investments and government initiatives, according to the San Jose, CA-based firm.
