Medical isotope developer IsoRay has purchased a 30% ownership stake in Russian medical isotope manufacturing and distribution company UralDial.
The new company, based in Yekaterinburg, Russia, should significantly reduce IsoRay's manufacturing costs, will ensure a steady supply of isotopes from multiple Russian sources, and open new international markets for IsoRay's Proxcelan cesium-131 brachytherapy seeds, according to the Richland, WA-based firm.
