Philips lands Norway SpeechMagic install

Philips Speech Recognition Systems of Vienna, Austria, has won a contract to install its SpeechMagic technology at a hospital in Norway.

Ulleval University Hospital in Oslo will roll out SpeechMagic to more than 1,000 physicians across all medical specialties at the facility. The installation is expected to be completed by 2009.

The hospital-wide deal was triggered by the succesful installation of SpeechMagic at Ulleval's radiology department, where report turnaround time was reduced by 96%, according to Philips.
