Royal Philips Electronics, the parent company of Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA, and Stockholm-based RaySearch Laboratories said today they have a signed a long-term license and development agreement covering a suite of new adaptive radiation therapy products.
Radiation therapy products, three of them adaptive, will be developed within the framework of the deal. The first is a tool for image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) that utilizes strictly geometrical information about a patient's anatomy. The second product facilitates advanced adaptation of treatment incorporating dosimetry. The third product can deliver full 4D adaptive radiation therapy, RaySearch said.
