Swedish radiation therapy firm Elekta reported that it has acquired an 80% equity stake in Beijing Medical Equipment Institute (BMEI), a Chinese provider of radiation therapy equipment.
The joint-venture deal, which was announced in March this year, has received the approval of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and has been granted a business license by the Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce, according to the Stockholm-based firm.
