AI software developer Avenda Health is highlighting clinical results that suggest its Unfold AI imaging software is effective in prostate cancer patients.
Unfold AI uses deep-learning algorithms to combine patient-specific data from prostate imaging, biopsies, and pathology to create a 3D cancer estimation map. This map can help physicians visualize the extent of a patient's prostate cancer and provide more personalized treatments, according to the vendor.
In the study, Unfold AI produced a cancer estimation map for 50 patients showing voxel-level predictions of clinically significant prostate cancer, with a mean area under the curve of 0.911, according to the findings.
The study was published online June 13 in European Urology Open Science.
