In a bid to draw attention to the importance of early detection of lung cancer, free lung x-ray exams are available on the first floor at Central World building in Bangkok until Sunday, 24 April, news website Thaiger has reported.
The initiative is being overseen by Dr. Pornthep Pongtawigorn, director of Banphaeo General Hospital in Samut Sakhon, Thailand. It is part of the hospital's "Don't Wait, Get Checked" to detect lung cancer in its early stages.
With artificial intelligence, patients can get results in about three minutes, the hospital said.
The hospital also aims to set up more mobile screening units at Robinson Lat Krabang, Central Eastville, Central Ladprao, Central Pinklao, and Central Rama 2.
