Artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Zebra Medical Vision has announced it will receive funding from the U.K. National Health Service (NHS) to support further development of AI-enabled programs for osteoporosis prevention.
Zebra is collaborating with NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde in Scotland to develop AI-enabled software for vertebral fracture screening in osteoporosis prevention services. The collaboration seeks to establish evidence on how AI-enabled programs impact patient outcomes.
The NHS is providing 140 million pounds (163 million euros) over four years for efforts to accelerate the testing and evaluation of AI technologies that meet the aims set out in its NHS Long Term Plan.
