The U.K. Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) has appointed Oliver Reichardt as its new chief executive. He has no background or track record in radiology.
Reichardt has served as interim director of strategic partnerships at Be the Business; director of fellowship at the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacturing, and Commerce; director of delivery and performance at the New Forest National Park Authority; and head of the public services and partnerships team at the National Council for Voluntary Organizations.
He succeeds Andrew Hall, who served in the position for 17 years, the RCR said in a statement issued on 4 May.
