Fujifilm España, a subsidiary of Fujifilm Medical Systems Europe, and patient safety and quality solutions firm Qaelum have been selected to provide Spain's Servicio de Salud de Castilla-La Mancha (SESCAM) with Qaelum's radiation dose management software, called Dose.
The contract is part of SESCAM's efforts to comply with the European Union directive 2013/59/Euratom, which sets basic safety standards for protection against dangers from exposure to ionizing radiation, according to the two firms. Spain has still complied with the directive, even though the deadline passed on 6 February 2018.
