How can you forge a successful career in the imaging of elite athletes? It requires a sound knowledge of anatomy and the type of injuries commonly encountered, as well as hard work, commitment, and establishing good contacts and building trust and understanding, says Dr. Gajan Rajeswaran, a musculoskeletal (MSK) radiologist at the Fortius Clinic London.
In this podcast interview recorded at the recent UK Imaging & Oncology Congress, he explains about how he came to specialize in the field and provides some rare insight into the world of sports imaging. He also describes some unusual cases he's come across and gives practical and timely advice to aspiring MSK radiologists.
The interview was recorded, produced, and edited by Drs. Uzoma Nnajiuba and Jamie Howie, who are radiology trainees from Liverpool, U.K., and the voices of RadCast. Next month we will post their podcast with Dr. Giles Maskell, immediate past president of the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) and an AuntMinnieEurope.com columnist.
