The U.K. Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) has produced a video to elaborate on the changes to the CR2B examination that are due to take effect in June 2025.
RCR announced the changes last December. The aim is to make sure the exam remains a fair and robust way to assess the knowledge and skills required across the curriculum at the expected level of competence.
The hour-long video was recorded in March 2025 and features the following experts:
- Dr. Priya Suresh, medical director for education and training and RCR CR2B Reform chair, who introduces the changes to the CR2B exam and discusses reasons for the reforms.
- Dr. Jane Belfield, vice chair Orals Final FRCR (CR) Part B Examination Board, RCR, who discusses changes to the oral component of the exam.
- Dr. Mary Roddie, chair Final FRCR (CR) Part B Examination Board, RCR, who discusses changes to the reporting component.
- Dr. Aaron Taylor, chair, Radiology Resident Doctor Forum, RCR, who provides tips from a resident perspective and how to prepare for the exam.
