The German Roentgen Society (DRG) plans to host a third forum of its Historical Commission in Remscheid-Lennep on 25 October.
The main topic of the event will be nuclear medicine. In addition to lectures, attendees can take guided tours of the German Röntgen Museum and the birthplace of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen.
Lectures will include the following:
- Beginnings and development of nuclear medicine technology in Germany -- Otmar Schober, PhD, professor emeritus at University of Münster
- Development and current technology of computed tomography -- Marc Kachelrieß, PhD, of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg
- Radiopharmaceuticals in hybrid imaging -- Frederik Giesel, MD, of University Hospital Düsseldorf
