Caption Health and Heartbeat Health have announced a partnership that enables Caption employees to acquire echocardiography scans at remote locations that are then transmitted to Heartbeat staff for interpretation.
Under the deal, clinicians in Caption's Caption Care program will perform heart ultrasound scans using the Caption AI platform that are then transmitted to Heartbeat Health cardiologists for interpretation through the company's telemedicine platform. Heartbeat will then provide televisits to discuss findings with primary care teams for patients with abnormal findings.
The companies say the collaboration will increase access to early cardiac evaluations and care by providing the services as a bundle for providers, payers, and value-based care organizations. The partnership builds on an early-stage collaboration between Caption and Heartbeat to address heart failure among patients in at-risk populations.
