Philips Healthcare parent company Royal Philips has signed a 10-year agreement to provide image-guided therapy technology to Oulu University Hospital in Finland.
The contract is part of the hospital's efforts to upgrade its operations and facilities in a renewal program called OYS2030 intended to improve care for 750,000 inhabitants of northern Finland, according to Philips. The partnership includes an optional 10-year extension, Philips said.
During the first phase of the agreement, Philips will install 11 interventional suites in the hospital's new cardiology and interventional radiology departments; these suites will be equipped with the company's image-guided therapy system, Azurion with FlexArm. Philips will also install its Philips Hybrid operating room with Azurion, it said.
Philips will also install its IntraSight interventional applications program and its interventional hemodynamic system, which is integrated with its IntelliVue X3 patient monitoring system.
