Aidence receives CE Mark for AI software

Netherlands-based artificial intelligence (AI) firm Aidence has received CE Mark regulatory approval for its Veye Chest pulmonary nodule detection software.

Currently being tested by several hospitals in the Netherlands, the deep-learning-based software is designed to assist radiologists by providing automated detection of suspicious lung lesions on chest CT exams, according to the vendor. Aidence expects the CE Mark will accelerate the software's adoption in clinical practice in the U.K., Sweden, Denmark, and other European countries.
