EMA: Amsterdam HQ won't be ready until November 2019

The management board of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) this week reaffirmed its decision to move from London to Amsterdam, but it revealed that its new permanent building won't be finished until 15 November 2019.

The EMA plans to occupy its newly constricted office building in the city's business district of Zuidas. Until it moves into that facility in late 2019, the EMA will work from temporary premises in the Sloterdijk area of Amsterdam. The location will be refurbished by Dutch authorities, with occupancy planned for the start of 2019.

The temporary home will allow EMA to gradually move all staff to Amsterdam before the end of March 2019, when Brexit takes effect, according to the agency.
