COCIR, EFOMP collaborate on angiography training

The European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical and Healthcare IT Industry (COCIR) and the European Federation of Organisations for Medical Physics (EFOMP) held an angiography equipment summer school in early July in Prague.

The school included lectures on new developments and insights into technical solutions adopted by manufacturers of angiography systems to reduce and manage radiation dose and improve image quality, COCIR and EFOMP said. It was endorsed by the European Society of Radiology and developed in collaboration with the Czech Association of Medical Physicists and Czech Technical University.

The school was attended by participants from Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Finland, Greece, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Sweden, Slovenia, and Switzerland, according to the organizations.
