Dr. Kath Halliday, president of the U.K. Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), has written an intensely personal blog, outlining her daily duties with the college.

In the piece, Halliday shows appreciation for other RCR officers and staff, and marvels at how effectively working with policymakers has led to results. She also outlines her time at the office, going through "a lot" of written material for meetings with other officers. This also includes attending conferences and events where she gives talks and meets with members of other colleges.

She also highlighted next year's elections for the role of Medical Director for Professional Practice and encouraged people to think about standing.

"Most people don't realise it's the sort of thing they could or should do, but if you have views about the way we should be represented you probably have a lot to offer," Halliday wrote.

The full blog can be found on the RCR's website.
