Suraj Mal Jatiya Government Hospital in Khurja, India, has made it an essential requirement that x-ray reports are delivered to patients via smartphone, according to a report published on 4 January by the Times of India.
The decision could have negative effects on patients who do not have mobile phones, the article noted.
"A strange decree has been issued in the Jatiya government hospital of Khurja in which it has ... said that the x-ray of the patient will not be done without an Android mobile phone," the report noted. "In such a situation, poor families are facing great trouble."
