The German Research Foundation, the DFG, recently approved continuing the Collaborative Research Center 1340 "Matrix in Vision" for another four years.
In this initiative, scientists are researching how pathological changes in the extracellular matrix can be displayed in diagnostic imaging, which could help identify diseases earlier and support targeted therapies.
Among the organizers and board members of the scheme are Dr. Bernd Hamm, director of the radiology clinic at the Charité -- Universitätsmedizin Berlin; Dr. Antje Ludwig; Dr. Carmen Infante-Duarte; and Dr. Matthew Taupitz.
