The U.K. Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is supportive of a children's radiotherapy services review taking place in England.
The National Health Service (NHS) England is soon to open a proton beam therapy center at the University College London Hospital and as such is reviewing children's radiotherapy provision overall, including the coordination and resourcing of conventional radiotherapy treatment and support services.
The RCR continues to engage in discussions with the NHS and says the review will be a vital component in helping the NHS provide safe and effective radiotherapy services. Related, the NHS is hosting a series of free engagement webinars on the topic in March.
