AuntMinnieEurope.com has launched the first edition of the EuroMinnies, a new annual event to recognize excellence in European radiology. The EuroMinnies are currently open for nominations.
The EuroMinnies give European radiology professionals the opportunity to highlight the contributions of their peers to the advancement of medical imaging. AuntMinnieEurope.com is currently accepting nominations from members until 2 December.
An expert panel of luminary radiology professionals will select the EuroMinnies winners through two rounds of voting, culminating just before the annual ECR 2019 meeting in Vienna.
The categories for EuroMinnies 2019 are as follows:
- Most Influential Radiology Researcher
- Most Effective Radiology Educator
- Radiology Rising Star
- Most Significant News Event in European Radiology
- Scientific Paper of the Year
- Best New Radiology Device
- Best New Radiology Software
- Best New Radiology Vendor
The EuroMinnies rules
The EuroMinnies awards consist of three stages: nominations, semifinals, and finals. Nominations are accepted until 2 December 2018.
The EuroMinnies cover the one-year period between 1 December 2017 and 1 December 2018. This includes products introduced and papers presented at ECR 2018 and RSNA 2018.
Work-in-progress products and products that have not yet received regulatory clearance may be nominated for the year in which they were announced.
