Radiation therapy device developer Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, has completed installation of its superconducting cyclotron at the Paul Scherrer Institut in Villigen, Switzerland.
The 250-MeV cyclotron is able to deliver spot-scanning proton therapy treatments in three dimensions, according to the firm.
