Ultrasound vendor Aloka is introducing new additions to its ProSound ultrasound line at the upcoming World Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, October 7-11 in Florence, Italy.
Aloka is launching ProSound 3500SX, an upgrade to the company's ProSound 3500 color scanner, and ProSound 6, a premium grayscale scanner. Aloka also plans to use the conference to highlight ProSound alpha 7, a new scanner introduced in September.
ProSound 3500SX includes ergonomic enhancements and a flat-panel display, and real-time 3D/4D is available as an option. The company is planning several major enhancements to the system in the coming months.
ProSound 6 utilizes a compact design and incorporates technologies like multifrequency imaging (MFI) and edge enhancement as standard features, according to the company.
