Six hospitals in the U.K. are implementing software from Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, to connect their facilities into one clinical network.
The rollout of Aria for Medical Oncology at hospitals in Lancashire and Cumbria is designed to integrate the prescribing, preparation, dispensing, and administration of cancer treatment drugs.
The network will include oncology centers at the Royal Preston Hospital, Royal Blackburn Hospital, Burnley General Hospital, Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Royal Lancashire Infirmary, and Furness General Hospital.
