Italian computer-aided detection (CAD) software developer im3D of Turin has launched a new DICOM viewer designed to work in conjunction with its CAD workstation.
The viewer, called Visor, enhances the value of im3D's CAD-Colon workstation by grouping and displaying medical images for rapid visualization from a single location. Visor enables radiologists to compare exams, as well as relay exams to specialized CAD applications.
Visor can also be integrated with PACS software from other vendors, and im3D believes the application will help users manage CT, MRI, and other imaging studies for use with im3D's CAD-based diagnostic tools. The company will demonstrate Visor at next week's RSNA show in Chicago.
