Vöcklabruck Hospital in Austria has signed a 10-year agreement with Elekta of Stockholm, Sweden, to supply intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) treatment systems.
Elekta estimated the value of the contract, which includes software for networking, information management, and treatment planning, at 5 million euros (approximately $7 million U.S.).
The two Elekta Synergy systems are scheduled for installation in the second quarter of 2008.
