California hospital to install Gamma Knife

Swedish radiation therapy firm Elekta will deliver and install its Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion system at Washington Hospital in Fremont, CA.

Stockholm-based Elekta noted that the facility is the first community hospital in the U.S. to offer the technology. The system will be placed in the facility's new Taylor McAdam Bell Neuroscience Institute.
