Computer-aided detection (CAD) software developer Medipattern of Toronto has landed a big fish for its ultrasound CAD software -- GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.
The two firms this week announced a five-year deal in which GE gains rights to sell Medipattern's B-CAD ultrasound CAD software. GE and Medipattern will also work together to develop an advanced version of Medipattern's breast ultrasound CAD software that's customized for existing GE ultrasound platforms, as well as future ultrasound systems.
