Swedish radiation oncology firm Elekta has completed the first installation in the U.S. of its Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion system.
The inaugural system was installed at Washington Hospital in Fremont, CA. The unit is the cornerstone of Washington Hospital's new Taylor McAdam Bell Neuroscience Institute, which will also include the hospital's stroke and minimally invasive spine surgery programs.
