Canadian optical molecular imaging developer ART Advanced Research Technologies has received the European CE Mark for its SoftScan optical breast imaging device.
With the CE Mark, the Montreal-based vendor can now sell SoftScan in all 25 member states of the European Union, as well as in Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein, and Turkey.
In other ART news, the company said that long-time shareholders and insiders have committed to reinvest approximately $3.5 million in ART's treasury. ART expects to use the net proceeds of the transaction as working capital and to expand its intellectual property position in optical imaging.
